An update on commercesearchengine.com

Recently, I have been getting more spam than usual. Why this is, I am unsure. But as mentioned in the father article I wrote on commercesearchengine.com, I suggested I would post an update if I noticed an increased amount of spam.

Some of the SPAM messages went as follows:

"Hello! I am bored this afternoon. I am nice girl that would like to chat with you. Email me at ygywwu@linkmailmessage.info only, because I am writing not from my personal email. If you would like to see my pictures."

And

"Hello! I am tired tonight. I am nice girl that would like to chat with you. Email me at ui@linkmailmessage.info only, because I am writing not from my personal email. If you would like to see some of my pictures."

There were more, and they all had titles similar to "Re: Pics," "Re: Pictures," and "Hi." Very generic, and typical spam subject messages.

I'm not saying this was definitely a result of submitting my email address to the Commerce Search Engine web site, but these messages did start coming up around the same time I allowed myself to submit my information to the search engine.

If you have signed up or do sign up on Commerce Search Engine, and you do or do not notice SPAM, especially if it's of the same type, please comment on this blog or contact me to share your experience with others. Together, we can better distinguish the credibility of the topic web site.

Hundreds or Thousands of Prison Inmates DANCE!

You know THRILLER from Michael Jackson right? Well here's over 1,500 inmates from the Philippines, and they're just practicing!!!

Pretty interesting. Maybe some prisons in USA could do something cool too.

Keyboard Mightier Than The Nuke

Before I realized it, I had rewritten this article on the new version of my web site. Here is the old version, originally written August 30, 2006.

While the pen is mightier than the sword, the keyboard is mightier than the pen, especially with Internet access.

Restated and reworded incase my first writing didn't get the message across:

The pen is mightier than the sword? While that may be true, weapons have changed and become stronger, but so has the writing utensil. The keyboard is stronger than the gun... And with Internet access, stronger than the nuke.

Here now is the new version: The Keyboard Is Mightier Than The Nuke.

Commercesearchengine.com

Today I checked my email and found something. It was a link to "add your business to the new Commerce Business Directory. There is no fee for this submission."

Furthermore,

"Inclusion in the Commerce Business Directory may cause you to be listed in other Business Directories, as it will be accessed by Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
To confirm that we may include your business, please click on the following link:
http://CommerceSearchEngine.com?id=0000000000"

Where the ZEROS (0) were other numbers, and when clicked, it apparently took me to the same page as http://commercesearchengine.com/.

I'm really not sure how they got my email address, but I'm not complaining as long as they don't spam me.

Currently, their traffic ranking on Alexa.com is 662,441 with no listed 3 months change, where my website, chexed.com is a whopping 1,391,650 - up 6,960,180 positions.

Their WHOIS information, provided by networkslutions.com returned to me as:

Domain Name: COMMERCESEARCHENGINE.COM

Need to know your blood type? Save a life to find out!

If you ever want to know what your blood type is, you can save a life to find out what it is and likely even get paid for it!

That's right. Paid. Moola. Dinero. Etc.

So what do you do from here when you're asking the question "what's my blood type?" Call up red cross, 800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543). Then lay the smack down. Just kidding, but make sure you ask your questions, such as "Will you let me know my bloodtype," or "my buddy told me you're supposed to get paid for this?" That way, you'll know for sure that you're not going to be in for a surprise if for some reason, they run out of paper and tell you, "we can't tell you your blood type, our printer jammed." And you can say "you said you would," so you'd have them by the balls.

Lives are important, sometimes you need to grab life by the balls to make sure they're not tampered with.

You may be also interested in the fact that there's a blood shortage right now (Current date July 20, 2007).

A last minute suggestion for Starcraft 2

Hopefully Blizzard will get this. I remember when playing Starcraft: Broodwars, so often when a new patch would come out, people couldn't watch old replays anymore.

Perhaps it could be made that ONLY replays could be viewed in older versions, so that way they're not lost. This will allow gamers to view more replays and have more game "pieces," which will add to the community as well.

I'm telling you!

Check out this Starcraft Figure Auction. There are not that many things that increase in value as much as Starcraft figures have. Figures from 1998 are going for over double what they originally cost (at least in some stores) brand new. (around 12$ each)

Just a reminder to keep a look out for the effect Starcraft 2 has on the world. :-) No, I don't work for Blizzard, but I played the original Starcraft and expansion Starcraft Brood Wars games, which (though made before the second millennium,) are still among the most popular games today.1

Starcraft 2 I assume, will be even more popular, however, computer upgrades will be necessary for many places most likely. And there is one big thing that a lot of people are not anticipating, which I think is a mistake. That thing, is balance. Only from countless hours of multiplayer gameplay can a game be known well enough for educated tweaking to make the game balanced, people will assume the gameplay is as good as Starcraft, well, the Starcraft Original gameplay was (and may still be) improved upon throughout the course of years. Blizzard has much more experience in balancing games now, however, the game released will not be perfect and people will complain, but rest assured, Blizzard will surely resolve the issues, and tweak the game to balance it. Blizzard is a master of game balancing. I'm sure there're multiple other companies out that which are great at balancing games, but Blizzard is who I've had the most experience with and seen great things from.

XBOX vs Wii vs Playstation vs Football

If you add the popularity of just the XBOX, Wii, and Playstation console gaming systems and compare it to football, I think you may see where the popularity of gaming is going. Now, imagine if you factored in computer gaming.

New Sounds New Units Starcraft 2

One new unit released since I last checked the Blizzard web site, another Protoss unit. The WARP RAY. It's cool. I wonder if one would fit in my parking space.

They also added a bunch of new sounds for quite a few Protoss units.

Visit the official Starcraft 2 site which has been registered but sitting lonely for years, but now ACTIVE! or the Blizzard main site if you want, they're having some art/music competitions on there.

There's email, and then there's GMail.

There's email, and then there's GMail.

After reviewing choices of Yahoo E-Mail and Google G-Mail, I have come to an important finding. The finding is that when comparing the amounts of spam I get in my e-mail vs my Google e-mail, much more creeps through my Yahoo e-Mail.

If you notice, in many email clients, there is a button to report emails as SPAM, that reporting may give information to the email provider about what SPAM may look like, so they can then block it. Who knows how to identify SPAM the best? I have assumed that one major contributor to SPAM filters are techies.

One way that this can be taken advantage of timecost efficiently is by (*Sorry, you must contact me to view the rest of this paragraph, I must ensure that only one who is in charge of battling SPAM may view this.)

Because Google has been a leader in internet technology and techies often follow the newest technology (because advanced technology can increase ones abilities), SPAM filters are alerted by SPAM through SPAMS most powerful enemy, techies. That may be why the Google G-Mail seems to be working better for me.

Perhaps those who offer email services should take an extra note regarding getting internet techies (SPAM identifying pros) to use their email service. Now, how to entice the techies?

I consider myself a techie, and you could ask me for some ideas, but I know there's a lot more people out there who could suggest some great, low budget, useful and convenience making services :)

Dun Dun Dun,

God

My friend died today and came back to life today. I've spent probably around 12 hours in just the past two days helping my friend. I have not enough monthly income to pay for bills. Taking time away from work to help my friend may be costing my family and myself.

Please help my friend God.
